My mom is a member of a vacation club that has condos all over. Often there are last minute openings for condos and she found an ocean front pent house suite in Seaside. How can you pass that up? So we packed up for a super quick trip to the beach!
Our first day in Seaside was beautiful. We even had our sweatshirts off most of the day! The kids played with daddy in the sand and water, while Grammy, Miley and I relaxed and soaked in the surroundings. In the evening we headed to dinner and let the kids choose one fun thing to do in town. They chose the miniature train. They had peddle cars there too, so the kids had tons of fun. We headed back to the condo and swam for a while, then put the kids to bed. My mom stayed at the condo while Shaun and I got to take a walk on the beach at sunset. We stopped and got ice cream on the way back and enjoyed it while watching the Olympics! Then the real fun began. Gage started throwing up everywhere. Well, part way through the afternoon we all noticed Gage eating sand, and a lot of it. I didn't think it was a big deal, but apparently I was wrong. He puked up sand all night long. The next day we all woke up super tired. My mom and I went for a walk on the beach and we packed up and headed to the aquarium. It's very small, but the kids' favorite part was getting to feed the seals! After the aquarium we headed to the beach for a bit, but everyone was tired and Gage still wasn't feeling great, so we headed home after about an hour. It was a very fast trip, but minus the puke we had a great time!

What a fun trip, minus the puking. I love that picture of Miley on the sand in her bouncy seat with her name.
