Labor Day Weekend

We picked Maisey up from school on Friday ready to play! We headed straight to the pool to swim! After dinner we had a movie night.

My Saturday morning started at 6:30 am. I wanted to get 50 lbs of pears and 50 lbs of peaches canned all in one day! My mom came and helped in the morning while Shaun took all three kids to the park to play and then that afternoon while they were all napping he helped with the peaches. I ended up going back to get another box of peaches, so about 75 lbs in all.

On Sunday we went to church then headed out to our friends' property. Always a lot of fun out there. We're sad that the summer has come to an end. We will have to find different activities to get all of our friends together.

On Monday, we wanted to have fun as a family. We headed to Bauman farms to play and get a treat, but they were closed for the holiday. :(  So we decided to head to Salem and go to Riverfront Park and ride the carousel. We went over the bridge to West Salem so we could take the ferry home. The kids loved the ferry boat. Then we went to the yogurt shop that just opened in our town. YUM! After that we headed home for dinner, baths, and bed.

We had a great Labor Day weekend. I love this family of mine!
