It's a Numbers game!
8 - The number of stops we made on our trip
11 - The number of pieces of gum that I saw in the barkdust below the speaker at the Taco Bell Drive Thru in down town Boise
14 - The number of hours it took us to get to Oregon
17 - The number of feet our U-Haul truck was (and we filled every foot of it)
39 - The number of U-Haul trucks I saw while driving (not U-Haul trailers, or other brands of trucks! Just U-Haul trucks!)
852 - The number of miles it takes to get from Provo, UT to Keizer, OR
Well, I haven't looked through all of our pictures from graduation yet, but as soon as I do, I will post some! It was a crazy week last week, but we are glad to be in Oregon and settling in.

WHAT?????
So a few mornings ago, I ventured out to get some things done and I left Mais home with Shaun. I asked Shaun to feed her and get her ready for the day. When I returned I took Mais into her room to change her diaper, and I found that Daddy had put her shirt on backwards!!! So Mais spit carrots up, but when I changed her shirt around, it ended up on the back and looked pretty funny.
Shaun's defense was, "Most of her clothes have buttons in the back, not the front."
My comeback, "Yeah, but on ALL of her clothes, the tags ALWAYS go in the back!!!"
Anyway, I thought I would share that funny story with you all. You've gotta love Dads!
(By the way, I have been trying to post Maisey's 8 month pictures that we took, but they never load, so hopefully those will be coming soon!!!)

Some BIG Events at the Grimmett House
Mais absolutely loves looking at this book. In this picture she is looking at pictures of Grandpa and Grandma but her favorite page is the page of just her and Grandpa! She kicks her legs and squeals and gets SO excited. I love it!
This is the cover of the book.
These are some pictures from the funeral. I hope Mais will treasure this book.So... Another BIG event, I got out an outfit that Grandma Grimmett gave Maisey. It had a clip that came with it, so I decided to try it out in her hair. It looked so dang cute!!!
Also. . . do you see that bookshelf behind Mais? Yeah, that is all packed up now. I spent all day today packing our house. I got a lot done.
The reason I got so much done was because Shaun took Maisey on their first Daddy-Daughter date. He took her to the Blue and White football game today. This was Maisey's first adventure with out her Mommy. I was sad, but I was able to get so much packed! Shaun came back and reported the date a success (and believe me, I asked for all the details!). He said that she loved waving to all of the people and as they were walking into the stadium, she was waving to all of the cars.
Maisey is sporting her new hat from Easter. It did its job by keeping the sun out of her face.
A couple other things...
The Office was a little disappointing. There were a few funny parts, but it was incredibly awkward in most parts. Michael and Jan are a very dysfunctional couple. The episode seemed incredibly short. 1 1/2 thumbs down.
As long as we are talking about Steve Carell, we rented Dan in Real Life tonight. Another big disappointment. Very slow and predictable. We have heard so many good things about it, so I was so excited to watch it. Definitely not even worth renting.
This week, we have been putting Maisey to bed awake, and letting her cry to sleep. I am SO happy to report that it is going amazingly well. She only cries for like 2 minutes (if even) and then she is out. We have been putting her to bed around 10 pm and she will wake up usually around 9 am the next morning. Why didn't we start this sooner???

CRAZINESS!!!!!!!!!!
Maisey enjoyed playing with cousin Shayla's toys! She loved the blocks!
We were supposed to stay in Colorado until Wednesday, but we ended up leaving early because my niece Shayla was admitted to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake. She has had digestive problems for a long time, but she got really sick this time and was throwing up like crazy. She was so dehydrated and lethargic. They pretty much did every test on her and everything came back normal, but things are NOT normal. So after being there for a week, they sent her home with no real conclusions. So things were pretty hectic that week with my mom and brother here, Shayla in the hospital, Shaun's birthday, my sister Kelsey getting her wisdom teeth out, and me leaving to go to Oregon. Will life ever slow down?
Poor Shayla resting in her bed.
Shayla's nurses made her a crown and named her the "wagon princess" because she always wanted to go on wagon rides.
Shaun's birthday was Friday, March 28th. That was the most stressful day for me that week, and I feel so bad that Shaun hardly even saw me on that day. He opened his gifts the night before, and I gave him a game by Days of Wonder called Colosseum. He was really excited. I made him the family favorite Daffy Cake with homemade frosting. Even though it was one of the worst days for me, I think it was ok for Shaun. Happy Birthday Honey! I love you!
The day after Shaun's birthday, I headed home to Oregon. This trip home was to babysit my cousin's 2 little kids. Alex is 6 and Madi is 3. It was pretty hectic going from a mom of 1 to a mom of 3 over night! Alex was 25 minutes late to school the first morning, but by day 2 and 3 I had the routine down and we were on time! Alex and Madi loved playing with Maisey and helping me with her. Maisey was pretty hesitant about all of the extra attention at first, but by the end she was enjoying it. Now that we are back home she still wants all of that attention, but there aren't two extra kids to give it to her, so we are trying to adjust again!
My flight got in Friday morning and 9 am. By the time we got to Provo it was 10:15, and we dropped Maisey off at our neighbors house and headed to Shaun's induction ceremony for Beta Gamma Sigma (a prestigious national honors society for business students). I was falling asleep during the ceremony from having two extremely exhausting weeks in a row, but I was so proud of Shaun. I forgot to take my camera to the ceremony, so I took this cheesy picture of him at home!
