Oktoberfest was very different this year then the years past for two reasons:
1) It was hot! No rain coats this year, we wore shorts and flip-flops!
2) We went twice!! Friday was adults-only night were we enjoyed dinner and visiting with friends that we ran into. Then we took the kids on Saturday to do the fun kid stuff.
I think we will be doing it this way every year. It was so nice to be able to actually enjoy walking around with out worrying about which kid is running which way and who is hitting who. And then on Saturday it was nice not having to worry about getting them $4 hotdogs that they wouldn't even eat! We just went straight to the kiddie area.
The kids were looking forward to pony rides for a whole week before. They also enjoyed the petting zoo and the jump houses.
A perfect weekend!
