So my plan was to repaint it, rearrange it, and redecorate it in the 2 1/2 days Shaun was gone. (while babysitting and taking care of my own 2 kids!) I know, What was I thinking?
Well, after 2 all nighters and one night of my mom's help, we only got the painting done! I was really sad and disappointed, but I didn't say anything to Shaun on the phone.
When he got home he just played out in the family room with Maisey and didn't got back in our bedroom for a few hours. Finally he started heading back, and I said, "My mom and I were working on a big project back there and we didn't finish! Sorry it's a huge mess!"
When he saw the painted walls he was really surprised! I wasn't sure what to expect because he doesn't like messes, and it was kind of an expensive, unbudgeted project! But he loved it! Once we talked about it and I showed him my ideas, we decided to put a chair rail between the cream and red colors! So another 2 all nighters and $100 MORE later, this is a close up of our new wall!
And this is one view of our finished project! (oh and a side note, while rearranging our room, I dusted off my elliptical! But still haven't used it! Don't judge. . . I've been busy!)
I wish I had a before picture because it was seriously so lame! I love my room now, partly because we got 1000 thread count sheets! Shaun has to drag me out of bed every morning. . . Literally! I love the pictures up on the wall!
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(The Extreme Makeover Home Edition show is really deceiving! It doesn't accurately portray how long projects like this take, or how EXPENSIVE they are!!!!!)
