The Kiddos

 GAGE:
Started going to story time at the library again. He actually sits and listens to the stories!

Figured out how to spray the whip cream can!

 Loves mustaches!

Likes to act like a baby

Drank 5 Danimals before 10 am one day.
(2 actually made it to the garbage)
He usually averages 4 a day!

Likes to chew the erasers off of pencils

Begs to wear his "BYU Cougar" jersey everyday and begs daddy to put his on so they can "cackle"

Pulled a shelf down in his room

Broke his window screen and uses part of it to play fishing out his window, or ties it to his bed to play cowboys.

Shaun installed a window lock at the top of his window the other day because he opens his window at night and it is starting to get cold. We'll see how long it takes him to figure out how to open it again. He figured out how to get the child proof knobs off of the doors this weekend!

A little glimpse into Gage's world!
(Excuse the nose picking toward the end)

MAISEY:

Maisey is THRIVING in school! I am very confident in the choice that we made. We also recently found out that the teacher we adored so much at the other school is leaving the school in the middle of the year. That just reconfirms our choice even more!

Maisey scored a 100% on her first reading test and she informed me the other night that she is on reading lesson #30 and when she gets to #40, she gets to start having homework. She was soooooo excited!

She also got the coveted colored pencils for a few days last week. The classroom colored pencils go to the student who had the neatest coloring (aka - stayed in the lines the most!). The student who has them gets to use them for a few days while everyone else has to use crayons. She was so excited. The picture above right is one that she used her pencils on.

She loves trying to find ways to make uniforms look "stylish" and the mornings that she chooses a particularly creative outfit she asks me to take her picture.

This is her teacher, Ms. Dunlap. Maisey will tell you that she's not Mrs. Dunlap, but Ms. Dunlap because she is not married. She can also tell you all about step brothers and sisters. Ahhhh, the life lessons you learn in Kindergarten!

Maisey started a Jazz/Gymnastics class last month and is totally loving it!
We let her choose between that and ballet and she chose that. I wasn't super excited about it, but it was her choice. Now, after going for several weeks, I feel like this was the perfect choice for her right now. It's not as strict and serious as ballet, and the fun, upbeat dances they learn are the perfect compliment to the structured school setting she is in. Heavenly Father sure knows how to answer my prayers! (But I'm still a little sad she won't be in the Nutcracker ballet this year, especially since we missed it last year for Uncle Ryan's wedding.)

MILEY:

I'll update more on her at the end of the week (I can't believe she is almost 5 months!) but I had to include this sweet girl in this post! I just can't get enough of her!

Her first time sitting in the stroller without her car seat.

Her big bro and sis went in to entertain her one afternoon after her nap! At least she didn't get stepped on.

Somedays I can't believe I have 3 kids, but I wouldn't want it any other way!

I LOVE THEM!

I completely understand about being bummed about Maisey picking something other than what you hoped for. April chose not to do horse 4H club this year, and I thought it would be good for her to continue so she could go back to fair and do even better. Oh, and she decided she didn't want to do ballet either anymore too. That made me sad. I liked watching her do that. But, it's her choice, like you said. So glad she's doing good in her school!

Oh, and which story time? Maybe we'll have to come join too.
